Addax Bioenergy and its engineering office De Smet Engineer & Contractor (DSEC) called on Sotrad Water for the design, supply and installation of a turnkey 20 m3 / h water treatment plant supplying the future factory, the city of workers and the living quarters of the project managers.

Process

Water being a key element of the project and necessary for all future stages, we intervened at the very start of the deployment and had to manufacture, deliver and install the treatment station in less than 6 months. Sotrad Water's containerized stations combined with modular tanks are perfectly suited to these constraints of rapid deployment in remote areas.

Benefits

Surface water treatment Gravity feed Autonomous assembly for all drinking, industrial and fire safety water supply

This project, carried out in collaboration with ONEP and financed by the Belgian government, aims to improve the living conditions of the city of Irah (more than 8,000 inhabitants). This unit integrated in two containers provides drinking water at a very low operational cost thanks to the abundant solar energy available and the technology of ultrafiltration for water treatment. The commissioning of the site in mid-October 2019 will make it possible to assess its operation and optimize performance under actual conditions of use on site.
